Short version: A11y Lens collects nothing and sends nothing. The accessibility scan runs entirely on your device, only on the page you click it on.
None. A11y Lens does not collect, store on our servers, transmit, sell, or share any personal or usage data. It makes no network requests of any kind.
When you click the toolbar icon, A11y Lens uses the activeTab permission (granted by that click)
and scripting to read the current page's structure — images, form fields, headings, text colors —
and check it against common WCAG accessibility rules, then show the results in a panel. It has no host
permissions and runs on a page only when you click to scan it; it cannot read pages you visit in the background.
The scan results and any report you export are produced locally and shown to you (or downloaded as a file). They are never uploaded, never logged, and never leave your device.
None. No analytics, no ads, no trackers, no external SDKs, no remote code.
